The crashing issue involved World Traffic 3 and was resolved by deleting AI aircraft. That was about a year ago and still no update. Was told they were known issues and would be fixed in the next release. I had posted some issues with the LES Saab on their support forum. I still try the LES Saab from time to time but prefer the Carenado one. Purchased the LES first and got tired of it crashing XP11 as well as some of the bugs in the cockpit So I purchased the Carenado model. It's certainly not 'hit A and watch the flight from external view' - type of autopilot, rather requires some experiene. I dont know if this is realistic but it sort of feels like realism. I.e just clicking a vertical mode sometimes doesnt work but if i decrease the height just by 100ft it suddenly begins to operate. Also if it flies it often requires me to make some change to the data before it engages again. It killed me once during night flying but I guess it takes more time to learn how it works and the documentation is hard to understand at first.īut even though I never flew a Saab IRL I am almost certain that most complaints about the AP come from people not paying enough attention to speed, angle of attack and so on. It works most of the time but often disengages when speed is too low / too high etc.

It also seems that the aim of this plane is to simulate an autopilot from the 1980s not just give you a convenient tool to fly the plane for you.
